Aluminum alloys
Aluminum is a material that is often used for its great qualities; it is light (about one-third that of steel), corrosion resistant, and a good thermal conductor. Depending on its grade, aluminum can be extremely malleable and offers great strength.
Common uses of aluminum include food production equipment (corrosion resistance), aircraft and automotive structures (lightweight), heat exchangers (thermal conductivity), marine applications (corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance), and more.

Carbon steel
Carbon steel is the most widely used steel grade today. It is used in all types of machines and in monumental structures or complex elements of precision engineering. There is a large choice, combining primary grades (S235, S355…) with different strengths (J, K, L), etc.
The popularity of carbon steel is due to its properties. Generally, it is easy to process, and in addition, it is reliable and cost-effective in typical applications. It must be coated with paint or powder to protect it from the weather.

Stainless steel
Stainless steel is a perfect alternative to carbon steel. It lasts longer in aggressive conditions or in places where you don’t want to see any rust (medical or dental equipment). This material is excellent for high and low-temperature applications, hygienic and marine environments, and where there is a risk of material wear.
High wear is tolerated, due to a chromium content above 10.5%, with good mechanical properties. Of course, all this makes it comparatively more expensive.
